Portsmouth, who were dumped out of the FA Cup last weekend, face a tricky home league game when Villa head to Fratton Park this Tuesday.

Juventus have denied reports linking them with a move for Chelsea’s Florent Malouda.

Reports have suggested Juventus were lining up a bid for the French international as they look to bring in a new left-sided winger.

However, Juve’s director of sport Alessio Secco insists Malouda is not on their list of targets.

“In January we will sign someone,” Secco told Calciomercato.it.

“Everyone knows we are evaluating a player for the left wing for the midfield.

“We have a group of names, but between these none of them are Chelsea’s French player.”
