Portugal’s caretaker coach Agostinho Oliveira has named a 20-man squad for the friendly international against Scotland on 20 November in Braga, but has not been able to find a place for Joao Pinto, who is available again after serving his suspension for punching a referee at the World Cup finals.
Joao Pinto was suspended until 17 October for punching referee Angel Sanchez after his dismissal against South Korean at the World Cup finals. Rather than select the experienced striker, Oliveira has instead opted for uncapped midfield players Pedro Mendes and Tiago Pereira.
The squad contains no players from Porto or Boavista as both clubs are in league action two days before the friendly.
As tournament hosts Portugal do not have to qualify for EURO 2004.
