Chelsea have received a huge boost with the news that Arjen Robben could be fit to face Barcelona in next week’s Champions League encounter.

Robben, who has been out of action for over a month since breaking a bone in his foot in Chelsea’s Premier League clash with Blackburn, has received a positive prognosis from his physio.

“When I saw Arjen I repaired everything,” Jean-Pierre Meersseman said.

“It was an easy correction. I fixed the break and put the surrounding bones back in place.”

Robbben was in scintillating form before his injury and his absence in recent weeks has coincided with a downturn in Chelsea’s fortunes.

The Premier League leaders trail Barcelona 2-1 from last week’s first leg.
