Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has turned down an approach to replace Rudi Voller as the new coach of Germany and has insisted that he will see out his contract with Arsenal.

“I have a contract with Arsenal until 2005 and I intend to respect it,” Wenger told Kicker magazine.

“What’s more the club would not let me go because there are only three or four weeks to the start of the season.”

As hosts, Germany qualify automatically for the 2006 World Cup finals.
