Zinedine Zidane believes Juventus defender Lilian Thuram will follow his example and return to international football when France meet Ivory Coast in a friendly later this month.
“I have no doubt (he will return),” Zidane told Canal Plus.
Both players retired from internastional football after Euro 2004, but Zidane confirmed yesterday that he was returning to boost France’s chances to qualify for the 2006 World Cup in Germany.
Chelsea midfielder Claude Makelele is also returning to international football after retiring.
