WIJNALDUM LINKED WITH BARCELONA

Georginio Wijnaldum’s future remains unclear with the 30-year-old midfielder out of contract at the end of the season. He’s yet to sign a new contract at Liverpool and it’s looking increasingly likely that he will depart Anfield. According to the Liverpool Echo, Wijnaldum hasn’t been keen on answering any questions about his future.

According to Sport, Barcelona boss Ronald Koeman has said that Wijnaldum could be “an option in the future” for the La Liga giants.

LIVERPOOL EYE ALABA

Sticking with Liverpool, and The Reds have been linked with a move for Bayern Munich’s David Alaba. Jurgen Klopp is currently having to deal with a defensive crisis at Anfield with Virgil Van Dijk and Joe Gomez out with long-term injuries.

However, according to Bild, Alaba won’t be allowed to leave the Allianz Stadium in January, even though his contract expires at the end of the season meaning that he’d be available on a free transfer. 

MESSI’S AGENT DENIES PSG LINK

He may have decided to stay at Barcelona, but Lionel Messi’s contract at the Nou Camp will expire at the end of the season. According to Goal, Messi’s agent has denied reports that the 33-year-old is planning to join Paris Saint-Germain, which will be music to the ears of Manchester City supporters.
