Here’s your daily round-up of the latest transfer gossip from World Soccer.

LIVERPOOL ENQUIRE ABOUT SARR

The Reds are closing in on a deal to sign Bayern Munich’s Thiago, but there might be a few more new faces through the door at Anfield before the transfer window slams shut. According to the Daily Mail, Liverpool have enquired about Ismaila Sarr and discussed his situation with Watford, who want £36 million for the striker.

Ismaila Sarr of Watford celebrates after scoring his team’s first goal during the Premier League match between Watford FC and Liverpool FC at Vicarage Road on February 29, 2020 in Watford, United Kingdom.

The 22-year-old scored twice in Watford’s surprise 3-0 win against Liverpool earlier this year, and surely won’t be hanging around in the Championship for too much longer. Jurgen Klopp seems his as the ideal back-up option to his first-choice front three, but The Reds are yet to table an official bid.

UNITED LOOKING AT OPTIONS

According to the Independent, Manchester United will also enter the race for Sarr, but only if they don’t pull off a deal for Borussia Dortmund’s Jadon Sancho.

Bayern Munich’s Croatian midfielder Ivan Perisic shoot and scores his team’s second goal during the UEFA Champions League, second-leg round of 16, football match FC Bayern Munich v FC Chelsea in Munich, southern Germany on August 8, 2020.

The Red Devils are also considering moves for Inter Milan’s Ivan Perisic, Bayern Munich’s Kingsley Coman, and 30-year-old Douglas Costa from Juventus, according to ESPN. It’s fair to say that the club’s supporters are unlikely to be satisfied with anyone but Sancho after being linked with the winger all summer, though.

INGS NOT FOR SALE

After scoring 22 goals in the Premier League in 2019-20, it’s not a huge shock to see that there’s interest in Southampton’s Danny Ings. However, according to the Daily Mail, The Saints insist that the 28-year-old is not for sale at any price.

Jose Mourinho is understood to be keen on bringing the striker to Tottenham, but it seems unlikely they’ll be able to strike a deal with Southampton before the transfer window slams shut.
