Manchester United signing,, Anderson, has been granted a work permit by the Home Office.

United’s initial application for a permit for the 19-year-old Brazilian was turned down as Anderson had failed to win the necessary amount of caps.

However, the Premier League champions appealed and the Home Office have now given the green light for the transfer to be completed.

“We are delighted to announce our application for Anderson’s work permit has been successful,” said a club spokesman.

“We look forward to finalising his transfer in the very near future.”

Anderson is currently representing his country in the Copa America in Venezuela, and won his first senior cap in Wednesday night’s surprise defeat to Mexico.
