Auxerre have had three points docked and ordered to replay Sedan, following a complaint that poor refereeing influenced the result of the league match between the two sides.
Auxerre won the original encounter 3-1 but the French national committee of sport (CNOSF) upheld an appeal from Sedan who said the referee had allowed the game to resume too quickly after Sedan had equalised. From the restart, Auxerre scored another.
Auxerre, who have one month to appeal the decision, drop from fifth to seventh in the table after being docked the three points.
