England coach Fabio Capello has been questoned by a state prosecutor for allegedly withholding information to a court.
According to reports, the prosecutor intends to present a case against Capello and former Juventus director Antonio Giraudo after they gave evidence at a major Italian trial.
The trial centres revolves around claims of unfair competition through the use of threats or violence on the part of the Gea World sports agency, which used to represent several Italian footballers and coaches.
Former Juventus general manager Luciano Moggi and Davide Lippi, son of former Italy coach Marcello, are among the defendants.
Capello, who worked under Moggi at Juventus and was also in charge at Roma between 1999 and 2004, told the court that he was not responsible for negotiating player while in Italy.
He also stated that he had never heard of players being put under pressure to sign specific agreements.
“At Roma and then at Juventus when I was boss, I only dealt with coaching decisions,” said Capello.
“I have never heard about players being put under pressure or of incidents relating to the players’ contracts.”
Asked about an interview he gave to newspaper Corriere dello Sport about Gea and their potential monopoly of players, Capello said: “I did that interview because I thought it was right to do something for Roma.
“I knew about Gea, I knew that many players were gravitating towards that company.”
