Group E

PSV Einhoven v Panathinaikos
PSV Einhoven entertain Panathinaikos at the Philips Stadium hoping to draw level with the Greek side in Group E.

PSV defender Alex awaits a last minute fitness test but coach Guus Hiddink is hopeful that he can partner Wilfred Bouma in defence,. The Brazilian had been doubtful following a knee injury sustained against Heerenveen in the Eredivisie.

Andre Ooijer will be out for about a month after pulling a hamstring in the same match whilst Gerald Sibon is also doubtful.

Defender Nasief Morris is the Greek champions only injury worry ahead of the tie.

Panathinaikos are training behind closed doors ahead of the fixture which coach Itzhak Shum believes will be a difficult test.

“One or three points would be a big step forward,” he said.

We are playing a team that are top of their league with more than 20 goals, and you do not do that without good players. If we do not play well but still get a draw, I would be happy.”
