Shanghai Shenhua met double trouble in their opening match in group A of the new Asian Champions League.

The Chinese side not only lost 2-1 to Taejon Citizen of South Korea but had new German signing Jorg Albertz barred from the entire tournament through eligibility problems.

Kim Eun-jung was the Korean hero with their winner in the 89th minute.

Earlier Hang Jung-Kook opened the scoring for Taejon after minutes and Shanghai equalised through substitute Luo Xiao in the 85th.
