Espanyol’s sports director has thrown his toys out of his pram in a scathing attack on La Liga.
Joan Collet saw his bottom placed club lose again at the weekend, going down 2-0 to Atletico Madrid.
Collet believes that his side is suffering at the hands of referees who are trying their hardest to get them relegated from the league.
“They are trying to dump us from the competition. It’s not worth us playing any games, anymore,” he fumed.
“There are idiots out there who are trying to make us look like idiots. I believe they are trying their best to make sure we don’t win again this season so they can say we were relegated because we had a useless squad.”
