Bosnian goalkeeper Romeo Mitrovic has earned place in football’s hall of infamy after he swung a punch at a referee who had just shown him a yellow card. Note, it was not a red card, but a yellow card.

During the second-division match between Buducnosti and Banovica, Mitrovic, who has been capped by the Bosnian national team, was unhappy with the booking and responded by launching a haymaker at the referee.

Fortunately, the match official ducked and was able to evade the punch.

He was lucky. As for Mitrovic, a lengthy, possible lifetime ban, now seems inevitable.
