Arsenal striker Thierry Henry has been ruled out of the club’s forthcoming Easter programme with a hamstring injury.

Henry, who has scored 31 goals so far in a prolific season, picked up the injury in the Arsenal’s Champions League defeat to Chelsea on Tuesday.

Arsenal meet Liverpool on Friday followed by Newcastle on Sunday.

“He will be out for the weekend but it’s difficult to say for how long after that,” said manager Arsene Wenger.

Arsenal lead second-placed Chelsea by four points although the Gunners do have a game in hand overtheir London rivals.
