An international friendly match between Morocco and Cameroon scheduled to be played next week in Paris, has been cancelled because of security concerns in the French capital.

The match was due to take place next Tuesday in Evry-Bondoufle, south of Paris, but local authorities said it would not be possible.

“They told us they would not authorise the match,” a Moroccan federation spokesman said.

“We are considering other venues with (southwestern) Agen a possibility but we can’t tell where or when the match will take place,” he added.

“All we can say at the moment is that it will not take place in Evry”.

France imposed emergency measures on Wednesday in response to 13 nights of rioting across France.
