Spanish international left-back Juanfran has teamed up with Vicente Del Bosque with Turkish club Besiktas.

The transfer will cost the Turks 3.5m Euros, and will see Juanfran in Istanbul for the next 3 years.

“The left-back was player most wanted by our new manager,” explained Besiktas general director Kivanc Oktay.

“Del Bosque wanted to have Juanfran in the team and now, we hope that he is sucessful.”

Valencian Juanfran previously played for Levante and Valencia, before moving on to Galicia to spend the last five seasons with Celta Vigo.

But following the club’s relegation to the second division, the defender expressed an interest in departing in order to remain in the thoughts of new national team boss, Luis Aragones.
