Juventus could be without three of his most influential players for their Group C Champions League match against Maccabi Tel Aviv.

Czech midfielder Pavel Nedved, central defender Fabio Cannavaro and French striker David Trezeguet picked up injuries in Saturday’s 1-1 Serie A draw at home to Palermo.

Nedved, who earlier this week announced his retirement from international football, had six stitches in a leg wound, Italy captain Cannavaro has a bruised foot and Trezeguet has a bad back.

Another concern is Alessandro Del Piero who did not appear for the second half against the Sicilians due to a heel injury, but is expected to be fit for tonight’s game.

“I was pleased with the performance, but the only negative thing was that we gifted them a goal from a set-piece,” said coach Fabio Capello.

“That shouldn’t have happened and we need to ensure that we are more alert in those situations.”
