Bundesliga strugglers Kaiserslautern are set to offload three senior player including former Germany international and Tottenham midfielder, Steffen Freund.
Freund, fellow midfielder Markus Anfang and ex-club captain Thomas Hengen have all been told they are surplus to requirements as Kaiserslautern battle to stay in Germany’s top flight.
Coach, Erik Gerets told the club’s official website that Freund “no longer fitted into the big picture of the team that I have for the second half of the season.”
He added: “I don’t see any future for either Anfang or Hengen.”
