A Spanish judge has ordered three Leicester City footballers be remanded custody for a second day as inquiries continue into alleged sexual attacks.

Paul Dickov and Frank Sinclair are being questioned over claims of sexual aggression and breaking and entering. Team-mate Keith Gillespie was also sent back to custody, over claims about assault and breaking and entering.

The club’s chief operating officer Paul Mace said the players “consistently and strenuously denied” the allegations.

Matt Elliott, Lilian Nalis and James Scowcroft had also spent the night in custody before all six appeared before an investigating judge on Friday, but the fate of the remaining three is unknown.
