Levante have appointed Jose Angel Moreno as their coach until the end of the season.

Gianni De Biasi resigned as coach of the struggling Spanish side on Wednesday to return to manage Torino.

Moreno, who has previously been the club’s reserve-team technical director, will take charge for the final six matches of the season.

Meanwhile, De Biasi has explained he could not refuse a return to Serie A, despite having spent only six months in the job at Levante.

“Levante was a difficult but extraordinary experience,” he said.

“I just couldn’t miss the chance to come back to Toro.

“In Spain I met some marvellous people, but now it is time to concentrate on the Granata.”
