Internazionale coach Roberto Mancini said he had no complaints about the two red cards shown to his players in the 2-0 home defeat to Bayern Munich.

The Italians had Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Fabio Grosso dismissed against Bayern.

“I think from Ibrahimovic’s sending off the match changed,” Mancini said. “We prapared the match to avoid taking too many risks.

“We knew the match against Bayern would be hard and we have had a few good chances to score with Crespo and Ibrahimovic, but on their first goal we made mistakes we had to avoid.

The defeat leaves Inter at the foot of the group with no points from their opening two matches. However, Manicini remains confident his team can progress to the knockout stages.

“The red cards? We must remain more calm, it’s necessary tranquillity,” he continued. “We have lost two matches and we suffered red cards in both of them, it’s clear things will become difficult.

“In a European Cup these are things you pay for. Anyway we can recover. To get through we need 10 points and I think we can win our next three matches, although the situation has became more complicated.”
