Borussia Dortmund’s German international defender Christoph Metzelder will join Real Madrid on a four-year contract next season, according to a German newspaper report.
The 26-year-old Metzelder went to Madrid on Tuesday to undergo a medical and finalise contract details, Bild newspaper claimed.
Real technical director Franco Baldini was giving little away, telling German pay TV station Premiere: “We have not signed a contract with Metzelder.”
He did confirm that Real were monitoring the 28-year-old German international with a view to a possible transfer.
