Milan are only interested in signing Andrii Shevchenko from Chelsea if the striker is available on loan for free.
The Ukraine international has been a disappointment in England since his £30million from the Rossoneri in summer 2006.
Shevchenko’s agent Fabio Parisi has admitted that Chelsea cannot expect anything if the striker returns to his former club.
Parisi said: “(Milan vice-president Adriano) Galliani has always been very clear when stating that the deal can only be done if Chelsea allow Milan to have the player as a free loan.
“If Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich will give his okay then I think the deal could be done.”
Milan are also keen on Ronaldinho, but have criticised Barcelona over their asking price for the Brazilian.
