Sporting Lisbon have refused to comment on fresh speculation linking Nani with Manchester United.
Last week, Sporting president Soares Franco insisted Nani was not for sale, but weekend reports in England and Portugal claimed that United would make a new bid for the 19-year-old in January.
“We are not speaking about any news,” said a Sporting spokesman. “Nani has a contract with us until June 2008.”
However, according to reports, United assistant Carlos Queiroz has presided over negotiations with his contacts at Sporting.
Sporting themselves are eager to Nani to a new contract, but the deal remains unsigned.
