Raul will be fit to play in Real Madrid’s Champions League game against Bayern Munich on Wednesday.

The Spain striker was able to take part in a practice match today and he is confident of starting against Bayern.

“I felt good today and I suppose tomorrow will be better,” Raul told reporters.

“We’ll have to see what the ankle can take but I’m confident I’ll be able to play the 90 minutes.”

Real, who drew 1-1 away to Bayern in the opening leg of the first knockout round, are missing Ronaldo because of injury and Roberto Carlos through suspension.

“We have two important players missing and with Ronaldo gone I’ll have to play further forward,” Raul said.

“I feel confident in that position, though. It’s good for me to be close to goal.”
