Can QPR get back on track against Coventry on Sunday? Tom ‘The Power’ Powell gives his top tips…

Sevilla set close to reaching an agreement with Boca Juniors over the transfer of defensive midfielder Gary Medel, according to reports.

Marca remarks that the Chilean international is close to securing a switch to the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan after Sevilla had monitored the progress of the 23-year-old for a number of months.

After agreeing to the sale of full-back Abdoulay Konko to former club Genoa for a fee of €6 million, funds are now available for Medel, and it appears that a deal is close to being completed.

Medel told radio broadcast La Red: “I hope the president of Boca Juniors and the people understand me. Sevilla has followed me for many months and made me an offer that is very important for my future and for my children. Now I want to leave, and this is my chance.”

The fee exchanged between the two clubs is thought to be in the region of €3m for the player.
