John Terry has held talks with Fabio Capello’s adviser, Franco Baldini, to discuss whether he should resign as England captain.

The Daily Telegraph claims Terry telephoned Baldini, England’s general manager, following the recent disclosures about his private life, his alleged affair and the possible impact it could have on the England squad.

The FA has confirmed that Capello will decide if Terry remains as captain and the Italian is due to hold talks with the 29-year-old on Thursday, ahead of this weekend’s Euro 2012 qualifying draw in Poland.

However, despite the bad publicity, The Sun reports that the England players remain supportive of their skipper.
