Real Madrid coach Vicente Del Bosque has insisted that his team will not panic after their disappointing 2-2 draw with Lomotiv Moscow left them with just one point in their Champions League group.

‘There are still plenty of points to play for and it would be premature to say that we are fighting for second place in the group,’ Del Bosque said.

‘We normally go into February with a maximum six points and we are unaccustomed to this and so we will have to face up to this new situation.

‘But I hope that our experience in Europe will allow us to turn things round when the competition gets underway again next February.

‘We were the better team throughout the game, but unfortunately this was not reflected on the scoresheet today.’

Raul salvaged a point for Madrid, scoring the equaliser 15 minutes from time, after Ronaldo had been substituted at half-time.
