West Ham have completed the signing of Czech Republic midfielder Radoslav Kovac from Spartak Moscow for an undisclosed fee.
Kovac joined the Hammers on loan at the end of last season and made nine appearances for the club.
The 29-year-old has signed a three-year deal with the Upton Park club.
Kovac could play in the club’s opening Premier League game against Wolves on Saturday if West Ham receive international clearance in time.
A member of his country’s side at the World Cup in 2006 and Euro 2008, Kovac brings Champions League and Uefa Cup experience to the London club.
