Former Internazionale coach Alberto Zaccheroni has denied reports that he is negotiating with Liverpool over a role at Anfield.

“Is it true that I’ve been contacted by Liverpool? No, absolutely not,” Zaccheroni told Sky Italia.

“I’ve never had any contact with them.”

Zaccheroni also clarified his settlement terms with with Inter, which, contrary to some reports, does not prevent himn coaching another club.

“Let’s get this clear, my contract with Inter until 2006 has been annulled from the moment I left,” he added.

“As for my future, I would prefer to stay Italy because I have grown, as a supporter and then as a coach, in this football.

“Should I have to go abroad, I’d go to Spain first and then to England.”
