South Korean World Cup star Ahn Jung-hwan he reiterated his desire to play in Europe next season.
Midfielder Ahn, 27, who plays in the J-League for Shimizu S-Pulse, has a three months left on his contract and almost joined Blackburn last summer.
He became famous for scoring the goal that knocked Italy out of World Cup and then having his loan deal terminated by Perugia.
He believes the timing is now right to move to the West permanently.
“Timing wise, it would be best to go this summer,” he admits. “If not, if might be more difficult to move”.
“Both the English and Spanish leagues have some of the best players in the world, so it would be a great experience to play in each country.”
