Inter president Giacinto Facchetti has attempted to defuse the latest row between Christian Vieri and coach Alberto Zaccheroni.
The Italian international was left on the bench against Lecce on Sunday – a move which has increased speculation about the striker’s future at the club. .
“The Vieri situation was resolved after the Inter – Bologna game,” he said, referring to when the striker refused to sit on the bench.
“Vieri accepted the Coach’s decision to use him as a replacement during the second half.”
