Juventus has appealed against its demotion to Serie B and the loss of two Serie A titles in Italy’s match-fixing scandal.
Juventus filed an appeal, arguing that the punishment was excessive, club spokesman Roberto Patriarca said on Tuesday.
Lazio, Fiorentina and Milan also confirmed Tuesday they will appeal against their sanctions. The appeals hearing will begin Saturday, the Italian football federation said.
Juventus, Lazio and Fiorentina have all been demoted to the second division. Milan escaped relegation but were given a 15-point penalty and banned from European competition in the forthcoming season.
Juventus were also handed a 30-point penalty, Fiorentina 12 points and Lazio seven.
Meanwhile, prosecutor Stefano Palazzi will resubmit his original recommendation for tougher sentencing, the soccer federation confirmed.
Palazzi originally called for Juventus to be demoted to Serie C; Milan, Fiorentina and Lazio demoted to Serie B with larger points reductions – three for Milan, and 15 each for Lazio and Fiorentina.
