Serie A strugglers Atalanta have named Delio Rossi as their new coach, the club confirmed on its website on Tuesday.

Rossi, 44, previously coached Salerno and Lecce and replaces Andrea Mandorlini who was fired on Monday.

Mandorlini was sacked following a 1-0 defeat to Palermo that left them four points adrift at the bottom of the league.

The Nerazzurri have yet to win a game this season.
