Emelec won back-to-back Ecuadorian Primera A titles, beating second-stage winners Barcelona 4-1 on aggregate in the two-leg third-stage play-off.

Ismael Blanco rescued a late draw for hosts Barcelona in the first leg with two minutes to play, cancelling out Angel Mena’s goal for the first-stage winners.

Emelec then cruised to a 3-0 victory in the return, with Mena and Miler Bolanos (twice) on target for the visitors.

Barcelona’s Alex Bolanos was sent off for a crude challenge on his brother Miler, who is on loan at Emelec from LDU Quito.
