Real Madrid winger Luis Figo has ruled out a move to Liverpool.

Figo, who admitted he was keen on a move to England, has seen his prospects of a switch to Anfield recede in recent weeks following Real’s decision to demand a fee for the 32-year-old.

The Portuguese international still remains a target for Inter although he remains hopeful of remaining at the Bernabeu for a further 12 months.

“With the English side, everything has ended but I’m happy many other big clubs have put their eyes on me,” Figo told Reuters.

“About Inter, I have no news.

“My situation is strange. I only want to play football, possibly with Real, but if I have no possibilities here, it’s better that I leave.”
