Luis Figo will see out his career at Real Madrid unless he decides to return home.

The 30-year-old Portugese international said he would only be tempted to leave the Bernabeau by a return to Portugal.

“What I have achieved here cannot be matched by any other club in the world. To be with Real Madrid is a privilege and a dream for any professional,” said Figo.

“At the end of my contract here I will decide whether to hang up my boots or go back to Portugal and end my careerthere.”

There had been speculation that Figo, who cost the Merengues nearly œ40 million when they bought him from Barcelona two years ago, could be on his way to England or Italy.

With the usual suspects Manchester United, Liverpool and Milan all interested in the winger. But Figo dismissed the rumours.

“I have no desire to move to any other European club,” hesaid.
