Vicenza’s Paraguay international striker Julio Gonzalez has had his arm amputated after a car crash in Italy.
The accident happened a month ago but despite the efforts of medical staff to save his limb, the injuries were so severe that his left arm had to be amputated.
Gonzalez’s hopes of representing his country in the World Cup finals have been destroyed by the accident.
