Italian champions Juventus moved three points clear at the top of Serie A after a comfortable 3-0 victory over theiir closest rivals Inter.

Inter were two up at half-time thanks to an own goal from Andres Guglielminpietro and a Pavel Nedved strike and Mauro Camoranesi completed the completed the victory seven minutes from time.

Juventus now lead with 51 points, with Inter in second place on 48 followed by Milan, who came from three goals down against Atalanta to earn a draw, lie a point behind.

Inter endured a terrible start to their match at the Delle Alpi , falling behind after only four minutes when Inter keeper Francesco Toldo parried a Nedved free-kick against team-mate midfielder Guglielminpietro and the ball rebounded into the net.

On 33 minutes Juve double their lead through Nedved. The Czech international firing an unstoppable shot past Toldo from long range.

Nedved, the game’s most influential player, set up the third for Camoranesi.

Milan will have mixed feelings about their 3-3 draw with lowly Atalanta. Trailing 3-0 inside 30 minutes, Carlo Ancelotti’s men fought back to secure an unlikely point.

Less than a minute had elapsed when Paolo Maldini’s put through his own net. Two goals in the space of a minute from Fausto Rossini appeared to have secured the points for the visiitors, but Fillipo Inzaghi pulled one back for Milan before the break. A missed penalty on the stroke of half-time appeared to scupper Milan’s chances of a recovery but substitute Jon Dahl Tomasson pulled a goal backon 70 minutes, before Inzaghi equalised with a header 11 minutes from the end.

Fourth-placed Lazio fell further behind the leaders when they were held 2-2 at Perugia while Chiievo consolidated their place in the top five with a 3-2 home win over bottom of the table Torino.
