A report in today’s Gazzetta dello Sport claims Real Madrid have offered Internazionale 50 million euros (£35m) plus Ronaldo in exchange for fellow Brazilian striker Adriano.

Inter president Massimo Moratti has so far resisted all offers to cash in on Adriano, but he could be tempted to accept Real’s offer as it would provide the money to fund a bid for Roma forward Antonio Cassano, according to Gazzetta.

Inter have already let Italian international Christian Vieri move to city rivals Milan this summer, while also parting with Stephane Dalmat and Emre Belozoglu.

New arrivals include Juan Sebastian Veron on a permanent deal from Chelsea, fellow Argentinian Santiago Solari from Real Madrid and Cameroon defender Pierre Wome.
