Manchester United have asked PSV Eindhoven about the availability of Korean midfielder Ji-Sung Park.

And although the Dutch club want to keep Park, they have admitted they may now lose the 24-year-old.

“We want to keep him but the only person who will decide his future is Park,” said PSV spokesman Pedro Salazer-Hewitt.

“United have officially asked about Park and the player has been informed. Park first wants to have a word with Guus Hiddink about his future.

“We know the system and we know that if another club make an official offer it’s a possibility that we will lose the player.”

Park moved to PSV in December 2002 from Japanese club Kyoto Purple Sanga and his current contract expires next summer. He was an mpressive performer during PSV’s galllant Champions League semi-final defeat to Milan.
