Czech midfielder Pavel Nedved and French defender Lilian Thuram have extended their contracts with Juventus until 2008.

Juve said in a statement the pair had signed two-year extensions to their contracts, which were due to expire at the end of next season.

Nedved had hinted that he would retire in 12 months time, but his decision to sign a new deal ensures another three seasons with Juve.

Both players joined Juventus in 2001 with Thuram arriving from Parma and Nedved bought from Lazio.

The pair have been key members of three Scudetto wins for Juventus.
