Roma president Franco Sensi has threatened to pull his team out of Serie A, if club continue to be victims of what he believes are outrageoous refereeing decisions.

Roma went down to a surprise opening-day defeat to Bologna but Sensi was highly critical of referee Roberto Rosetti, implying that his players were being victimised for Sensi’s ongoing dispute with the Italian Foootball Federation.

A clearly angry Sensi said: “I hope we don’t pay the price for the battles I had with the Italian League and Federation over the television rights.

“At present, I won’t take any type of initiatives, but I’m ready to withdraw the team from Serie A if these things are repeated.”
