Graeme Souness admits Jermaine Jenas may leave because he feels he is “living in a goldfish bowl” while he remains at Newcastle.

“I’ve spoken to the player’s agent and he tells me that JJ is quite happy with things at the club,” said Souness.

“But JJ feels it is like living in a goldfish bowl,” Souness told the Evening Chronicle.

Arsenal, Spurs and Manchester United are likely to be interested in the England midfielder.

Spurs had been reported to be offering Robbie Keane in exchange for Jenas, but Souness retorted: “Robbie Keane is not the kind of striker I am looking for at the moment.”

Nonetheless, with Newcastle desperate to strenthen their strike force, Souness may be forced to listen to offers for Jenas.
