Tottenham have agreed a £1.5m deal with Leeds for Paul Robinson and will complete the signing provided they agree personal terms with the keeper.

Robinson, 24, almost moved to White Hart Lane for £2.5m during the January transfer window, but the deal stalled because the Premier League were unhappy about the player being loaned back to Leeds until the end of the season.

“We hope to conclude the deal early next week,” the club confirmed in a statement.

“We have agreed a £1.5 million deal with Leeds United for goalkeeper Paul Robinson, subject to agreeing personal terms with the player and a medical.”

Robinson is the first of several key players expected to leave Leeds following their relegation to Division One.
