Premier League leaders, Man Utd, can go back to the top of the table with a win over Pompey tonight.

Getafe president Angel Torres was angered by the conduct of Real Madrid’s Pepe after the defender violently lashed out at Javier Casquero during Tuesday’s encounter between the two sides.

The Portuguese international first barged the Geta captain to the ground to concede a penalty before immediately kicking his opponents in the leg and promptly followed it up with a direct swing to his body. He was shown a straight red and Torres is demanding a severe punishment.

“Pepe must be banned for at least 10 games,” he told Canal Plus after the game.

“You cannot kick an opponent like that in any way! That kind of behavior cannot be tolerated and he should not have lost his temper.”

The outspoken chief also criticized Marcelo for his verbal abuse of Los Azulones defender Cata Diaz at the end of the match.

“Marcelo should never have used the language he did to provoke someone. These big teams cannot intimidate the more modest teams with their arrogant attitude. Real Madrid have more character than that,” he said.

El Geta’s narrow 3-2 defeat leaves them hovering just four points above the relegation zone, while for Real, the pursuit of leaders Barcelona continues.
