Tottenham manager Glenn Hoddle is said to be lining up a summer move for former Everton defender Marco Materazzi, according to reports.

Materazzi, who currently plays for Inter, is reported to be one of the players allowed to leave the San Siro in the summer, and Glen Hoddle is said to be keen to link the centre-half up with Dean Richards and Ledley King.

After an unsuccessful stay at Goodison, Materazzi has since resurrected his career and was signed by Inter for œ7.5m last year.

He has represented the Italian national team and has played in this seasons Champions League. Inter would be looking for around œ4m for the defender and Hoddle may see that as a bargain.

Hoddle has also been linked with a move for Brighton goalscorer Bobby Zamora. With Brighton struggling at the bottom of Division One, Hoddle could tempt Steve Coppell into selling his prized asset.
