Juventus coach Fabio Capello has blamed his side’s recent slump in Serie A on bad luck.

Capello has seen his Juventus side drop eight points in their last four games, allowing Milan to move level on points at the top of the league. The latest setback to Juve’s title ambitions came with a disappointing 0-0 draw with unfancied Messina.

“In the first half we were limited to two chances but after the break we missed a lot of good opportunities,” said Capello.

“That’s football. In this period we haven’t had the luck.

Juventus face Real Madrid in the Champions League on Wednesday, but Capello remains optimistic about his side’s prospects.

“Looking to the Real game, I am feeling okay.

“We have a good level of fitness and that keeps me tranquil. We will see how we present ourselves against Real Madrid.”
