Real Madrid striker Emmanuel Adebayor who joined on loan from Manchester City in January, wants to make the move permanent this summer.
Adebayor helped his chances of earning a full-time deal by scoring twice in Real’s 4-0 Champions League win over Tottenham Hotspur on Tuesday, having previously netted just once in La Liga for Jose Mourinho’s side.
The 27-year-old, who joined City for £25 million from Arsenal in 2009, moved to Spain in January after finding himself surplus to requirements at Eastlands.
“At the the moment I am enjoying myself and at the end of the season I will see what happens,” Adebayor said. “I’m not under pressure at all, and at the end of the day I still have a contract with Manchester City.
“My main aim is to play football, and I’m here, I’m playing, I’m very happy. Yes, I would love to stay here, but you never know in football what will happen next.”
